Bitcrowd is a software studio in Nairobi. Every project starts with a business problem — and ends with software that solves it.
How we got here.
We started Bitcrowd because we saw a gap in the Kenyan tech market. Businesses were either paying premium prices to agencies that overpromised and underdelivered, or settling for template sites and generic solutions that didn't help them grow.
We believed there was room for a studio that builds practical, results-focused software — work that directly impacts a business's bottom line, not portfolio pieces that look good in case studies but don't convert.
Every project starts with one question: what specific problem are we solving? If we can't answer it clearly, we don't start building.
We also build our own products, because the best way to get good at building software is to build software — for others and for ourselves.

I started Bitcrowd to close the quality gap I saw in Kenyan software. Too many businesses got solutions that looked fine but didn't work — sites that didn't convert, apps that didn't retain users, systems that created more work than they removed.
My background is in AI automation and full-stack development. I approach every project the same way: understand the business problem first, then build the simplest solution that solves it completely.
Outside client work, I'm usually deep in a new build or sharpening how we work — the craft only improves by doing it, in the open, on real problems.
